We know multibillion dollar companies dealing in api's want their data on the blockchain they will fork the code and create their own oracle network but this one will have nodes run by their business partners providing api's and data feeds for them. It will be similar to hyperledger which is a pseudo blockchain being built for corporations. Any corporation using this fork build from the ground up by industry leaders for use by industry leaders know that the nodes being run by major corporations will be way more secure than random nodes being run presumably buy random neets in their basements. They will still be able to choose nodes based on their reputation, uptime, etc.

Noone will use chainlink because the important node operators are major corporate entities and they will go where the work is. The major corporations will provide work for their business partners on the pseudo private chainlink fork. Chainlink may be the first public decentralized oracle network but they don't even have a mainnet and the fork will have all the transactional volume to begin with.
