Ill show you a little math on TSM Jan 2022 calls:
100 strike @$36 means you break even at 136, or +6%
120@25 = 145, +13%
130@20 = 150, +17%
140@17 = 157, +23%
150@14 = 164, +28%
But remember, if it doesn't go up, you lose money each day to decay, and higher strike means higher decay, and if it come Jan 2022 and its under your strike, its worth $0. Thats why it costs less because there is more risk and a higher bar to break even.
The closer you buy to a strike price of zero, the more closely it will follow the stock, but you can afford more calls than you could stock. With 10k you could buy 2 $85 calls which would basically act like leveraged shares at x2.

How do people deal with not having enough money to get into stocks? I keep looking at these stocks I want to put money in and I just don't feel like I have enough cash to do it. Is it okay to just put 100 bucks into random shit every so often?
And if I do that, I just feel like I missed the mark on big plays because I would only have put 100 bucks into it.

Realistically you should have pulled out your initial investment after it went to like, 400%. Anything over 100% is gambling basically. Really the smartest thing to do is when it's doubled, you sell half, and the other half can go wherever the fuck it goes. And again, if you wanna gamble and take a risk, you hodl for more profits. You can still do that right now if it's "only" at 20k, but if you think it's gonna go up to the 300s again, or 400, or fly off like a fucking rocket, then hodl. If you think it's downhill, sell half and you cover your shit while gambling on the other half. Just my opinion, what I would do if I had gotten in that early with that much. Good luck, anon.

>At least consider covering your initial buy-in

Yup. I'm beating myself up that I only made 10k off GME instead of selling last week when I could've made 60k.
But I look at these people who lost 50-500k+ and I'm starting to feel pretty good about the whole thing. It's been a stressful week, but I'm out now. Feel like I have GME bagholder PTSD even though I got out green.

I'm not going to explain how clearing houses work for you. In your last reply you showed just how little you know about the backbone infrastructure of brokerages. I'm not your economics teacher.

~$60 bucks for almost 2 billion SHIBA? I guess that's a good meme.

Anyone use Kraken? Been looking to make an account for a while and now is as good as time as ever I guess. How long does it take to get funds in? Do you have to do the ID verification to transfer from a debit card? Or is the simple verification good enough?
