Your issue is not a PnD shill thread. Your issue is that you panic sell. Without knowing what coins you bought, look at all of them right now and check whether you would have had a profit if you'd held.

This is a lesson a lot of newfags have to learn. Now with the high gas fees it's even more important. Instead of trading every few minutes or hours, try to hold something for a week or more. You'll see 20-50% drops but more than often it'll bounce back up and you'll end up with profit.

Unless of course you fall for Dogecoin shit, where it's just clear that it will be a quick pump and dump.

How come you guys are going in for so little? NOK is longterm. I've been looking and thinking about maybe $1K as a minimum, and that's nothing compared to people with actual money to spend with real jobs etc.

There have been posts about short-sellers; why do they need to close their position? Can't they hold out until the price goes down? They can indeed do that, but they have to pay to borrow those shares, what ARE they paying to not close?

Rough calculations based on the current price of GME.
There's an approximate 32~% on GME short Borrow Fee Rate, assuming 60million shares being shorted everyday.
60,000,000 shares X $300/share = $18 billion dollars are being borrowed for shorting.
$18 Billion * 32% / 360 days in year = $16 million dollars a day (trading day or not)

The money that they have tied to margin on the short cannot be used elsewhere. If they could have been making 5% somewhere else, they are effectively paying 37% to short GME stock.

The better question is WHY the squeeze will happen. At some point, these hedge funds are going to need that money for something else. They are losing ~16mill/day. That is assuming the price does not go up. If it goes up any more, they are losing more on interest.

The other problem for them is what happens when they cannot borrow shares anymore. If any of us decide they want to sell, and the brokerage has to get the stock back from the short-seller. The short-seller has to go to the market and buy for whatever price is available. In a way, we have control over what price they are forced to buy at. If the liquidity in the market disappears, you can set your price to be $1488.69, and they have to pay it. Holding the stock, you are squeezing hedge funds and market makers for as long as there is no liquidity for GME stock.
