Hi /biz/ I am a graduating B.Com Accounting student that is looking to the future with little idea of how to proceed. I was wondering if you had any advice for me, but I'll give you a bit of background before hand:

I'm female, 22 and reside in Alberta, Canada. I didn't attend networking/business seminars during my studies (I realize how foolish this was now) and I have above average excel skills but no working ability of quickbooks/accpac/peoplesoft, albeit my wonton want of learning them. And I have established retail experience (5+ years).

However, I have one connection with a headhunter with no lead from this, two generic reference letters from professors and three other profs that would give specific letters, one which I can contact through phone, another through email. I have three other personal references and more if need be.

Any advice how I should progress into the world of business? Everywhere I look, even entry positions, require "1 year to less than 2 years" of experience.

>tl;dr graduating accountant, didn't network, no experience, wat do?
