I believe we're definitely thinking too small..one of the major sectors Sergey discussed was the bonds/derivatives market which alone is estimated around 1 quadrillion. Long term I see this surpassing BTC's ATH bc assuredly BTC, ETH, and others will also rise astronomically pending the inevitable increase in market cap due to mainstream adoption made possible by LINK (hell even the SEC is bullish and thinks it could reach trillions by 2020, founder of WEF specifically references SmartContract as a Kek component of the 4th Industrial Revolution). $1000 eoy is a meme for a reason- it is entirely possible. All the "logic" thrown around during price prediction FUDing is absolutely baseless considering useless projects in this space have mooned themselves into the top 10.

>but muh marketing

Once the marketing begins to ramp up (it's already started bc Sergey directly shilled LINK, LINKs official twitter, etc...), the Singularity will instantly arrive behind the backs of all nonBelievers and Blast its infinitely long green candle up their collective Asses.

>Is there any info on when they will start eating through that reserve and releasing new supply to the market?
No. Sergey also said that they will maintain the LINK network with some of the money they take as a fee from the node payments. So it seems like they will have plenty of money to maintain the network, therefore they probably won't sell much anytime soon.
As for the tokens they will give away to node operators, they won't really be on the market because they'll be locked up in nodes.

How much LINK do you own? I knwo people ar sayign 2020, but if smart contracts truly are the 4th industrial revolution, and the chainlink network becomes the industry standard used, you will want to hold at least 10k till 2022-2023.

See if you can find some type of service that holds physical assets (trezor) for a fixed period of time, no matter what. While 1000 EOY is an absolute meme, 1000 EO decade is not within the realms of impossibility.

Mainnet is released and all industry recognises the absolute necessity of chainlink and smart contracts, how important it will be for saving billions in unnecessary costs. When the internet hit the scene, all of business and industry either adopted the new technology or fell by the wayside. This will be the case again with the whole blockchain scene. Yes there are some projects in development now that could solve some real world problems and make everyones life easier, but none more critical than chainlink. The block chain is useless to most industry unless the outside world can interact autonomously and in a trust less manor with blockchain. This is the prime purpose of chainlink. And it will reflect in the market price. The idea of smart contracts and oracles have been around for a long time. If you DYOR you will recognise all this, then dig a little deeper and see which companies are already pining for smart contracts and the chainlink network. If you are lurking here and cannot decode the autism and are unsure whether link is a meme or the 4th industrial revolution, read this article and make an informed decision. I know die hards will say people shouldn’t be spoon-fed this stuff and they deserve to stay poor because they’re retards. But there will be some pretty decent human-beings cruising here, already on the right track but just need a little nudge to make the right move. I would rather have more decent regular people having a stake in something so important, than a bunch of one-track boomers.

we should shill now. i shill all the time

if we really want a pre-mainnet pump that isn't reliant on a btc pump we'll need to get redditors, self styled crypto gurus, and big name crypto youtubers to begin buying into the link lore

/biz/ has complied a lot of circumstantial evidence that big business is already in bed with chainlink, that it's an industry token from the ground up, and that it will be one of the biggest drivers of the 4th industrial revolution. if this info can be conveyed in a convincing, normie friendly manner to these parties we have a good shot at a serious pump

As for the second question, it's harder to answer. There are many reasons why it's shilled/fudded. Some very powerful people have written about smartcontracts in general, and chainlink in paticular, as a key piece in the upcoming API/information economy. See The 4th Industrial Revolution, and Mastering Ethereum. Many believe that smartcontracts are the future, and a decentralized oracle solution is key to that future.

Moreover, the team is outright anachronistic in the crypto space -- there is no hype, no weekly announcements, and only a rough roadmap. They're very tight-lipped, despite having confirmed some of the biggest partnerships in crypto. It's unusual for the period of mass shilling.

Add that to the normal mess or trolls and the like, and you have the state of Link on /biz/

Heres a potential motive for CIA.

We all know that satoshi nakamoto has the potential to be NSA/Gov created. We also know that smart contracts bridge real world data to the blockchain and make it viable for so many use cases.

Is it possible that by promoting chainlink they are also promoting the success of future blockchain projects which hinge on their fundamental building blocks like link, btc, eth, and therefore cementing the value of the blockchain economy (4th industrial revolution) as US property..

Who owns all those bitcoin in satoshi's wallet? Who owns all them 650M chainlink..

Thoughts?

To expand on this..... I've been thinking a lot about Link lately.... with respect to what it accomplishes....

It takes out the middleman right? So then you have mass joblessness in once robust industries like accounting, lawyers, or whatever other industries it helps get rid of.

ALSO.... look at how UNiversal basic income is starting to get traction....I personally don't think UBI is a coincidence at all with what it looks like is all coming together which is helped by link.

Not to mention there's a depopulation agenda in place not to go all /pol/ onyou guys. Yeah abortion is really all about some 19 year old mexican sluts oh so precious right to choose. That's what the rich elite really care about... some Puerto Rican bitches right to choose.

This makes me think that bitcoin is really a govt/NSA thing.

But this 4th industrial revolution thing is a real thing and I think Link bridges it. And it is no coincidence that UBI and the increase in younger kids wanting socialism coinciding with this next revolution.

The technology is a neutral medium. It's how one uses the technology and their intention.

If we are to truly think about the consequences of this collective group action is that we as Link HODLers will be massively rich. The drawback? Investing in a tool which will rapidly increase the speed for which smart contracts are adopted and used in the DAPP and fundamentally alter the number of enterprise-level business models (read: increased operational performances with the use of automation of white collar work).

We're spearheading the 4th Industrial Revolution.

There's a quote that I'll paraphrase that says billionaires believe in astrology [hidden arts], millionaires don't.

We're using the hidden arts to alter reality so that we all make it.

Believe and try out the group sigil.

You have nothing to lose, but the world to gain.

But there will be some changes.

/biz/ could in fact rule the world. Imagine if /biz/ owned the token fueling the 4th Industrial Revolution and smart contract adoption.

Buying up at these prices so early would potentially produce an outcome where the outcome of a wealthy biz is the outcome.

And for this very reason, a psyop campaign deterring /biz/ from buying LINK would make plausible sense.

Chainlink is the most promising project in crypto, and the ability to connect real world data to the block chain in a trustless manor will kickstart the 4th industrial revolution.

We are going to make it brothers, don't let the absolutely garbage tier fud get to you. May your hands be iron and stinky till 1000 per link.

I am a stupid brainlet to have trusted you... this is a digybite 2.0.

You connect dot that they don't exist... YOU IMAGINE SWIFT... YOU IMAGINE CONNECTIONS... THE reality is that Sergy is an amatour with an ''Hobby'' and created Chainlink just to ''try''... as a lot of companies which had fanatastical ideas (but they failed)

We can make an example: 3D printing

Blockchain is 3D printing... a meme.

Some of you say that virtual reality is a meme ... ahahahha you are spastic, you are spergers... virtual reality and VR videogames are developed by the most advanced minds and you call it a meme?

Blockchain is a solution for a non-esistent problem.. it's a decentralized database... and it has big scaling problems.

It's definitley OVERVALUED

Blockchain is overvalued and link also... naturally..

I remember when here people shilled Digybite ahahahah LOOK NOW WHERE IS DIGY AHAHAHAHAHA

THIS IS ANOTHER MIRAGE LIKE DIGYBITE, A FANTASTIC DREAM TO GET RICH QUICK AHAHAH

I know you would like so much to get rich and choosing a coin which brings the blockchain meme to the real world is a wise choise, probabilistic speaking BUT YOU HAVE UNDERSTIMATED THE FACT THAT BLOCKCHAIN DATABASE IS REALLY REALLY OVERVALUED. AND YOUR GET RICH QUICK DESIRE WILL VANISH IF CHAINLINK COULD BE ONLY AT 1$ (IF EVERYTHING WENT GOOD)

AHAHAHAH I LAUGH AT YOU . AHAHAH YOU ARE SIMPLY STUPID. INSTEAD OF INVESTING IN VIRTUAL REALITY, IN NEUROMORPHING CHIPS ($QUALCOM INC.) THEY INVEST COINS MADE BY HOBBIEST AND AMATOURS THAT ARE NO MORE THAT A DATABASE.

>4th industrial revolution

FUCK YOU MORONS.. AHAHAH THE 4th industrial revolution is made by DATA, RENEWABLE ENERGY, ELECTRIC CARS ...

YOU ARE STUPIDs
