im barely into 3D and i've only fiddled with zbrush. i'm not sure if i would be comfortable trying to modify the clothing in a 2D layout with seams. Just my opinion.

bake normalmaps in blender. you can even use procedural maps, or tiled ones to overlay, and you aren't limited to two but to 64 textures, i think.
