My transfer from blender to maya went smooth.

Learning a completely new set of hotkeys is an issue that can be fixed within 4-5 days to the point that you will feel awkward in blender. 6 if you are not the smartest one in the family.

That is not the real issue, the real issue is knowing technique and understanding the optimal way quality 3d models are produced, once you grasp the basic concepts, the program becomes a mere tool, a different hammer for the same nailing.

Yeah I get what you are telling me, I will tend to it tomorrow. Thanks bro

Thanks, I agree on the skin folds part, but I don't think there is a need for the skull change, there is no reason for horns not the grow out by the 90 degree angle cleanly, if humans had them, especially if they were so elegant and thin. I didn't want to make a demon-humanoid, but a human with horns.

I may be entirely wrong, that's why I posted here.

What do you think?

I polypainted it but I am ashamed of how it turned out lol spent too much time on it, so I didn't render the paint

Nice tip. I don't usually do it by memory, told you this was just a memory test, the only part where I used the photo is the 4-headed muscle above the knee, not sure how you call it in English.

I usually draw and sculpt with a real time model, this is just a practice since I don't want to put an image plane and trace it, that always seems retarded to me and yet everyone does, I don't see how you can get good by tracing someone else's drawings, it's like putting a paper over some drawing on a windows and tracing. Correct me if I miss something here.

Also is it true that some people use premade meshes and then only modify them? Where is the skill in that? I think that being able to make an organic model from a sphere/cube whatever should be imperative for any digital sculptor. I don't really have anyone that does this stuff in my surrounding, third world country and stuff, so I don't really know much about the topic first hand.

Thank you for the comment. Sorry about spamming I didn't know you should do it in one image, that's why I apologized in advance.

I agree with all points, I didn't use any other models, I sculpted everything by dynameshing a sphere, I sculpted hands separately and than appended them, that's the only separate thing I did.

Thank you I will work on and post further progress in one image.

That's it, not much work on back, a bit on the spinal region, spent most time on front legs and front torso.

I am sorry for the amount of posts but I usually need a lot of angles and distance changes to observe something 3 dimensional properly

Haven't worked on arm anatomy yet, dynameshed basic hands that I modeled separately, will do the same with feet. Going for the most generic possible

Hi, this is my progress at the moment.

I am not using any reference, this is a practice I am doing to see how well I know anatomy by memory. Also my full human study in zbrush, I am fairly new to the program, switching from traditional to digital, so I am still at the basics, learned a bit about dynamesh which helped me A LOT, simply a fantastic tool.

Anyway I would like some critique and comments. I will post a few pics if you don't mind.
