any way to skip a prepass in vray, rhino plugin? or, any way to just render a small portion of the render?

clicking the button that renders around your mouse doesn't work because i think it only applies after prepasses..

would make things a lot quicker if i can render just a small portion to completion, instead of distributing the whole render

this is pissing me off.. does anyone know why i can't seem to adjust isocurve density?? it doesn't work 98% of the time, but i have managed to increase them this way. is there a command that does the same thing?

i know i can just array a line and project onto srf, but why the fuck doesn't this work if it should?

Thanks for the advice. A fellow archy recommended inventor. I'll definitely check it out, learn it on my spare (hah!) time.

as for the drawing by hand, I sketched tons before arch school, so it's not a problem. Thanks, again!

Undergrad Architecture student, here... have been thinking about my plans after I graduate... Will be applying to grad schools, I'm sure I'll get in /somewhere/... also thinking of doing product design.. parfums interest me, and parfum bottles seem easy to make..

modeling a parfum bottle is easy and doable.. I know Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator.. I can make clean diagrams (and ofc cuts, sections, orthos, etc.)

Does anyone have any experience/advice on Industrial/Product design? And, more specifically, on parfum bottle designs? How is the industry like? How does one acquire a job designing parfum bottles?

Sounds like it would have to be on a job-to-job basis. I'm sure houses hire full-time product designers, but not sure I'd be capable of a full-on full-time position without experience.
