It just that it won't support Closed Libraries.

>They were planning on adding them in 2.72 but Ton is looking to drop FBX support completely because he doesn't want to spend the time maintaining it so don't expect to get it anytime soon.
Not according to this: https://twitter.com/tonroosendaal/status/510855677951352832
>FBX discussion - we support FBX with our own free/open software. The issue was why not to use Autodesk's closed libraries instead.

TL;DR: Don't use art terminology if you didn't study art long enough to nitpick just about every single detail of what's wrong with the picture.

That has been done a long time ago and have since became the official scene of of /3/'s WIP thread.

But as for mine work, you're getting close.

Oh look, this discussion again. Before you guys complaint, post CGI portfolio of other Modelers who got jobs doing what they do.

Here's an About article that listed the portfolio of the top dogs of the industry: http://3d.about.com/od/Creating-3D-The-CG-Pipeline/tp/50-Artists-Past-And-Present-Who-Work-In-Film-Games-And-Animation.htm

Also, DEVIANTART DOESN'T COUNT AS A PORTFOLIO. You have to create your own website to showcase what you're capable of, and all of your works have to be made within a timeframe of a year.

I'd like to ask who made this model, mostly for the Polygon hair shader that they used on it.

Tell me, what grade did you got from this animation?

Otherwise don't ask for criticism in 4chan unless it's /ic/, otherwise you're asking for shit posters to come here and call you a shitfag.

That what encouraged me to improve in the first place.

It's didn't have any color you dumb shit; this is a WIP thread: none of the works posted here are complete.

I believe it so that we can post it without having to deal with duplicate images.

As for the rules, it so to prevent shit post and thread derailment. It's pretty much an unspoken rule for all of 4chan I admit, but too many people keep forgetting about it, and need a constant reminder not to give Trolls attention. That, and I prefer that the Nudity argument have their own thread.

.....That's business talk. It like saying which Software was most used in the CGI industry so that it'll be easier to land a fucking job.

So all you say is that nothing really matters except for getting employed and out of your parents basement.

You should take LOTS of photo references to improve.

So far, it's a good model, but if you're aiming for pseudo realism, study on the anatomy of both the animals and the humans before you proceed.

It also help to draw an orthograph containing BOTH the skeletal and muscular structure of the organism in question, so that these can serve as a guideline for future sculpts

Use this for a reference on how the pec/Breast connects to the armpit: >>417369

As for the tail, you should take a look on the where the spine connects to the pelvis like on this skeleton: it's where the tail starts. Modify what left of the human tail so that it curve upwards like an animal (though the tail itself is usually above the anus on most mammals).
