Maybe we blabber about the industry because we have jobs there? Most 3D packages can achieve pretty much the same thing sure (some faster than other) but there are guidelines and workflows we should follow and bringing Blender, or any other software for that matter, in an environment when it is not needed or required will slow processes down. If you want to use X software on personal projects go right ahead.

I decided to stop using Blender because no one in the industry gives a shit about it and clogging up my brain with useless shortcuts and menus will do me no good, even more so when that fucking homo at the CG Cookie site wants Blender devs to change pretty much everything to meet his needs, the fucker wants to make it more user friendly like C4D, why doesn't he just switches software? I don't want to learn the interface all over again. I'm back on using Maya/C4D because Blendshit is clearly still in Alpha stage and won't catch up with the big guys any time soon.

Today this Blender user came up to me with his Cheetos stained fingers and started screaming at me how Blender is "the best program around and that it should be the industry standard" Then he started going on about how Cycles is better than Renderman while showing me printed out images of his noisy horribly lit renders in an MLP 3-ring binder he called his "portfolio". Lol they weren't even laser printed! So I told him and his shitty program what they are. Fat and greasy and outdated and told him him that Blender has a Shitty UI. He just stood there taking these verbal beatings and waddled away crying.
