Yeah i have substance designer which does that
with a predefined toolset but I'll probably be using
PS or GIMP from time to time as well.

some programs do not support AMD cards, But for the most part they do, because AMD cards are openCL monsters

So I just recently got into the texturing part of model making. I'm still very much amature in every category, I was wondering if I was doing the UV right on this Rifle Cartridge. The Squares are supposed to line up if I'm not mistaken? Less than a quarter of it is aligned (highlighted). Also what techniques do you guys use to know which side/face you are working on while texturing a UV?
