blenderbros..
Im trying to figure this one out,
I want to model angled steel piece, with exact parameters, like in the photo. It have to be 2meters long, 2mm thick and 25x25 lenght of angled side. How can I do it in a way that I will be able to change dimensions later?
for example, if I want to be 3meters long and 35x35mm?
I was thinking about using curves to make lenght line of 2m, then extruding it with "L" profile that I can set dimensions of, then use some kind of thickness modifier that can be changed. And only then in the end convert a copy to poly. Is something like this even possible in blender?

Use SolidWorks or Abaqus

Parametric modeling isn't currently possible in blender.
You want CAD software.

I almost got it blenderbros..
I made line, starting orgin to 3d cursor, then created empty object that I rotated 90 degree and used as object offset in array of that line, it gave me "L" shape, which I later extruded and beveled in object properties. So now I can control lenght and thickness. Problem is that it doesnt look very nice as its not fused, and when I change lenght of one of line making "L" shape with array, the other line stay the same lenght.. How can I link those lenghts? and can something be done about this ugly joint?

How does one make bank with drafting skills, freelancing projects? I'm a savant with CAD/CAM software but haven't been able to find any gigs doing it professionally that aren't architectural or civil. I left college with like two courses remaining for an AS in "Engineering Graphics & Design Technology", would it be worth it to finish that?

>blender fags unironically believe it is normal for a modeling software to not be able to do this
complete overkill. just switch to 3ds max where you can just type in different values later thanks to the modifier-based system.

It's a bit baffling to me that it took this long for someone to suggest this.
Honestly should have been the first post, but instead we had a bunch of retards arguing about programs they obviously don't know how to use.
