Once you are in the habit of making clean topology you can approach any shape the same.
It helps with sub-divs, it helps with shading and it helps to keep you sharp.
If you treat everything the same no shape is ever a mystery to you.

You start cheating and taking short cuts it usually comes back to bite you at some point.
You did some surface quick and dirty and now someone runs a zebra checker for reflections ontop of it and get tons of artifacts.
Now everybody is laughing at you, you look bad, GF leaves you, your dog dies and in the end you have to redo everything right anyways.

Bad topology is like shitting your pants, at first it's warm and it feels great
but once people catch on it's just this huge embarrassment to everyone including you.

Been debating with myself which form is the best. Never seen any consensus.
Phonetically t/3/pots makes sense if the /3/ is pronounced 'three'.
But since '3' is leet speak for 'E' I tend to read 't/3/pots' as 'teapots' while 'tr/3/pots' reads 'threepots'.
