Pablo should be focused in the Texture/Vertex Paint the next months, he did a fill components operation for face sets and a shrinkwrap brush the last week too, video related.
SO at best somebody could try to do something in the next Google Summer Of Code.

and thank god for that, I can't stand constantly switching to 3dcoat and back, when i'm texture painting and want to adjust the object geometry
or just utilizing blender's object system
