Typically how long does it take you to create all the assets and script a short scene?

>> No.757063

5-15 hours per asset, do the math
then add a bunch more for the animation

There's a whole thread about this already.
Consensus for modelling a whole scene is around 10 hours. Scripting (assuming you mean animating), wasn't really discussed, but it's not outside the scope of the thread.

There's no consesus, a scene could be anything in terms of scope.

We're talking an average-sized scene, not some autist's passion project.
As said before, multiple people in the other thread have already said how long they spend on a project/scene, and the average was around 10 hours.

Scene for what? A game? A film? A bullshit everyday render? Stylized? Realistic? Shit quality or decent looking?

You have no idea what you're talking about so don't misinform other people. There's no consensus, it entirely depends on the scale, fidelity etc. I don't even finish some props in 10 hours, weird, huh?

Creator of OP:s webm here.
It took me little less than 9 hours but I worked on it in chucks for like 2 weeks whenever I was bored, it started out with just me sculpting the character and one idea usually spurs on more ideas.
My workflow is really messy and unorganized but if I have a rough idea how I want it to play out I usually try to be as flexible as possible with it, for example the mountain jews were a suggestion I got in a OC-thread from /pol/.

When I work on an idea I really like, times just flies and in the end that webm cost me a 3 day ban from /pol/ but seeing it getting reposted and appreciated truely warms my heart, I will keep on doing my autistic passion projects whenever I get time.

You are the best.
Question did the texturing (animated on screen etc) take the longest?

>but seeing it getting reposted and appreciated truely warms my heart
I think everyone feels like this about their OC.

>the assets and script a short scene?
If we are talking about modeling the burger(food item) would take the longest followed by the human.

The keyboard is 40 minutes all mechanical objects take 1 h to complete so 5 h for all the assets (excluding human and burger).
1) Monitor 1h
2) Keyboard 1h
3) PC 1h
4) Desk + cans + magazine 1h
5) room + flag. 1h

You notice the keyboard is not a real keyboard only 1 mega button.
>>757183
Hmm creator, did you use 3D text to save on time?
Since from my experience texturing is the most ass part of 3D and 3D text simply works in no time.

The average you're pulling out of your ass, which is why there's no consensus. What is an average scene to you? It's not what I think an average scene is. Neither of us has the time to reach into however many decades of 3D work and figure out the mean average of time it took to prepare scenes.

I made the animation on the screen in after effects that I'm more familiar with that than blender so it was pretty quick, the thing that took the longest and probably the thing I regret most is not really spending enough time on rigging the thing, I usually come up with the scenes while I make them so animating the rig after I figure out what I wanted it to do made it difficult.
I made the text in 3D since its a timesaver.
>>760218
The lighting could be improved but otherwise it's the best my computer can do, I really can't render things in other than eevee since my computer is from 2012 and I don't have patience to wait days for a scene.
