What are you, some boomer who works in archviz and is terribly afraid of learning new things? At this point there's really no reason to use 3ds Max over Maya/C4D/Blender or specialized CAD software.
Autodesk also pretty blatantly stopped pretending to work on it, there hasn't been any meaningful improvements since forever, they just break things on purpose and then fix them with quarterly patches, rinse and repeat every year to milk retards with subscriptions.

Do any of you guys know much about maxscript? Is there a way I can make my script multi-threaded or something and just have the second thread be a looping function checking for if the user presses the ESC key to abort the script? It gets far too busy while executing the main script to abort until it's done, and sometimes it can take 5-10 minutes to finish executing
