Edit poly performance: 3ds Max is the best, Blender is the worst.

Its over. Blendlets are eternally BTFO.

Very cool.

I'm surprised 3ds was SO much better than houdini and maya.

Blendlet questions now;
What is the use of this in production? Is it not quite rare to be manipulating a 2mil+ poly object outside of zbrush? And for situations where you do need to manipulate, it legit looks like blenders sculpting to manipulate is more more flexible, especially with the new 2.82 additions.

In production, would people who use Maya/Houdini just send it to 3dsmax to manipulate?

>>710759
In production if I had to move that many polys, I'd shoot it over to zbrush 9/10 times.

Right, that's what I thought.

This is why 3D is ART TERRITORY AND YOU DONT BELONG

No one ever would edit polys on such a high count mesh though. As others said, just send it to zbrush.

The real reason blender is the worst at this is because with a simple mistaken press of the tab key you can crash your file.

What's the matter? Tried learning Houdini and couldn't, and now set arbitrary boundaries to justify your failure as not that important?

Poly modelling is not Houdini's specialty. The fact that its outperforming Blender in that regard is really pathetic.

I’d love to see you model a building that fits the construction codes and laws of your area without doing math.

as much as i love max... i hate it for other reasons...

IPR is a nightmare because it crashes with every simple fucking change... alot of times even no change at all.

Build-in rigging is a nightmare and even tho cat has potential it lacks retargeting features. Skinning is so fkn unefficient.

Morpher modifier is shit, blenders shape key system can even combine multiple meshes and weld verts and the morphs still work.

Blendlets seriously think that FLIP plugin competes with Houdini? The one written by a single dude?

This is the kind of update Houdini gets with every new version

blender user, just checked it myself, blender shat its pants, I haven't even noticed this, but its true, fucking blender devs need to focus on blender's strengths, instead of retarded shit like the grease pencil and eevee

This fear induced inclination to bully is noted. The more mathematically inclined dispense with the crudity of brush based techniques altogether and engage the world of art at its most fundamental geometric reckoning. It is understandable to be fearful of Godliness.
