What benefit do the Blender devs have to make everything 10x more difficult and different for no fucking reason. Why can't I just SET a fucking keyframe

Why do I need to choose arguments for every single keyframe. I just want rotation.

You also Can Just click "Only insert needed" when you're recording. So that IF you do Rotate. It'll only set a rotate.

But what if I need to set different types of key depending on which object I have selected?

>> No.692809

>>692806
It will only record what you have selected, and what transformation you have used.

For Key Type, I Assume you mean'Breakdown' and 'extreme'.

Normally you can just change this in the Dope Sheet, and have your selected only key, and just use box select.

now, I'm currently using 2.8. But this works for the previous version. You Can change the keyFrame type by pressing The drop down menus and Hitting what ever Keyframe Type you want. This affects the 'I' Hot key for inserting key frame, So if you only want 'Lot and Rot', just put it on that, and every time you Insert[I] a Key frame it will insert just those without needing to go through the menu.

>> No.692813

There is one noteworthy caveat though. Blender lets you set keyframes on current frame only, which pretty much sucks for efficient animation work. In other programs you can pose a character and set the keyframes to a chosen frame in the timeline which makes animation a lot more convenient and faster.

I mean something like object A autokeys location, object B autokeys rotation, etc.

>> No.692856

>>692832
This I cannot even fathom what your trying to do. But try locking The Rot and Scale on one object, and Loc and Scale on the other?

>> No.692927

>>692856
I could be wrong, there could be a setting for this, but last I tried, locking specific transforms on an object unfortunately does not prevent keying those properties.

>> No.692931

>>692778
Just select Rotation and be done, you do it once for every animation track not once for every keyframe.

>> No.692945

>>692927
I could be wrong, but there might a setting in the same properties that says "Insert Available only" int the animation tab.
