Been practicing 3DS a little bit and trying to make links master sword. So far it's all turning out really close to how I expect it except the ends of the hand guard have odd shading. Any idea what I fucked up on?

2) Is it smoothed if its not a high poly?
3) Supporting edges a no go with the high poly?

happens because of normals

when you have smoothed normals on a steep edge, shading gets fucked up like that.

Check your smoothing groups
