Hey!
I am an indie film maker who needs about 60 secs worth of a cartoon character talking to the camera. Words do not have to be synced to the mouth. Character and animation can be simple but good. For a veteran with the right animation program, I can't see this taking more then a few minuets.
Email me here for the details: need_rabbit@live.com
Lets do this!!!

The reasons people are shitting on your project:

1) Before animation, there is character setup. Even if you want only 1 second of your character doing stuff, the setup has to be completed before you can animate it.
Character setup is a long (long, long) process. Also, very difficult.
It doesn't take a few minutes. It takes days.

2) Animation is an even more difficult (or rather: difficult in a different way) process. Good animators in real produce an average of 2 seconds per work day.

Did you ever wonder why you see hundreds of people working in movies for months? Did you ever wonder where all the millions go?

And on top of that, you want your character modeled and textured.
Come on man. Get real.

Oh, and "simple but good" does not exist in this field.
If it looks good, it's not going to be simple. You might think "it's simple" because the artist made it look very natural. Actually, it just means the artist is an extremely good one.
You see Toy Story and think "hey Woody is a very simple model, must be easier to model than a realistic human"
WRONG
To make something stylized look good, you have to be extremely proficient with it. Stylized is not simpler. Often is more difficult because if you don't do that properly it will just look wrong, incomplete.
It's true for modeling, for texturing, for animation and for art in general.

you see this? This is what happens when animation does not take in account what is known as secondary motion.
There is no way it can be any good if you only animate the mouth. In fact, it would definitely come out even worse than the infamous pizza burning lady

Contact Andy Wilson, this should be right up his alley.

I can do it with reallusion crazytalk xD

>> No.405666

sure, no problem.

300€ character design
350€ character model
200€ rigging
50€ per second of animation-3000€
2€ per rendered frame, at 24fps thats 2880€
600€ asshole fee for not having a clue how big your demands are and being a dick about it.

That's 7330€, I'm willing to go clean 7k just because I'm a nice guy. You can save 3k if take keyframes and do the rendering yourself, you can have that cheaper. Depends on how quickly you need it. mail is simultaneously paypal, half the amount upfront.
