I wan to import custom models in Fallout 3, armor, weapons, etc..
I have some questions about the steps I have to do
To do that I need some advice.
For the basic steps I already have found information about the Nif file and have setup blender with the niftools, everything works fine, I can create models and export them in the game, but...
I don't know Blender, I have knowledge with Maya, so I was thinking to export model from Maya as Obj file, import it in blender and then from blender export as Nif.
I searched some info in the internetz and it should work like I mentioned above but the textures won't export.


Sorry for the bad writing, but who can tell me what's the best way to get Maya models in Fallout 3?

As I recall having messed around with custom models for fallout 3 a few years ago using max I had to edit textures and materials inside nifskope by manually entering parameters.
