It isn't. The problem arises when, because it's free, noobs immediately flock to it as their first 3D modeling software and have no clue what they're doing. Next comes the stupid questions and terrible models generated by blender users. This all creates a negative atmosphere around it and gives a horrible impression to outsiders, especially the pros who were on autodesk or adobe the first day they got to school and have used it all through their career.
