Tips on sculpting cloth in zbrush?
I have a few cloth-y brushes that use but it's hard to get some of the really hard and nice creases or clothy details I see like I see at the end of sleeves or when a belt is pressed tightly against cloth or whatever.

but some cant afford maya.

Sculpt it from a solid sphere or some shit to get the front facing form, then just do an extract to get the thickness you need. No really that complicated.

Model the basic shape in max, maya, blender, or whatever other program you're comfortable with, then export and import into zbrush for detailing.

Read how folds in cloths work.
There's at least 3 easy to find tutorials on the subject by famous drawing instructors out there.

Find reference material.

Don't go crazy on the folds. Long smooth lines.

hm.
The issue i have is those sort of S swoop-y creases and getting things to branch out from there.

What brushes should I use?

The pinch brush is sort of destructive

use reference photos, always
for sculpting use clay buildup hpolish smooth and standard
build up folds to match them to photo reference with clay buildup, then use hpolsih to make them smooth and curvy, smooth out everything
standard brush will be usefull for small long folds
and forget about doing anything without ref pics

google for selvy brush for zbrush, he also have video,
there is good training about folds from eat3d I think its called "Zbrush Sculpting Clothing and Understanding Folds in Zbrush",
but basically it all comes to keep on trying until you'll get a hang of it, practice and practice, also it helps if you can draw
