Can Blender do this?

Yes, you can paint normals on blender

I don't really see how this relates to Blender. Looks more like an experimental alternative to decals in games. This could be pretty cool for immersion. Instead of applying decals that fade over time, it permanently edits normals. It could be cool to walk through an area you had a fight in hours ago and still see the scars of that battle.

It was one of the solutions proposed by Dobarro for hight poly sculpts / microdetails in Blender, it is either that or a new viewport for sculpt / texturing.

How does Uniform compare to Cozyblanket? I've tried to give the latter a chance, but the shitty UI makes it feel like a toy.

So how much is it? Because Cozyblanket was more expensive than fucking Nomad.

>> No.966381

>>966378
I don't see a price, so I guess it's because of complaints about Cozyblanket.
The $20 price tag wouldn't be so bad if they didn't lock up some essential editing operations to the $90 version. It's still stupid for an app that's JUST for retopology, though.

Do you know if he has rigging/animation or CAD in the roadmap? I havent seen all the tools but I suppose this doesn't have modeling with curves, hair particles or cloth brushes, at least now.

For Cozyblanket? Uniform looks like the multi-purpose app, but I'm talking about their existing one.
Personally, I just want an ipad app for polygonal modelling. Nearly all the 3D segment are sculpting and CAD. Maxon's Forger looked perfect, but then they got even dumber with pricing, and started concentrating on the sculpting features too.

For Uniform, Cozyblanket is kill, I think he said he'll move all the code to Uniform, not sure.

>> No.966389

>>966387
Also any news about intro tutorials for Uniform ? just like all the other 3d apps, the 2 min shits on twitter are cute but i suppose people would like to see how he does that catoonish mermaid or something.

Not seeing any videos, just people asking stuff in the help section.

Ok ty, I maybe ask all that latter.

Someone want to take my money for something that I can do for free with stable diffusion? Wowza!
