Why is this software so good? I'm desperately trying to figure out how to make things work with some blender addons, but it seems like I will fall for another subscription. I need to easily straighten UV islands of unwrapped decimated nanite meshes and this shit just magically works. No other tool in blender can do this. If you know of any please tell me, but I have textools, zenuv and uv packmaster. They are pretty good, but guess I reached their limit.

tried it with 3ds max, using an asset that consisted of roughly 20, systematically named meshes. did nothing i couldn't also do manually and renamed every single mesh with a random-number name. thx for nothing.

I want rizomuv too (legit). It costs more than a maya indie per year subscription, which makes me really really cautious though. I've tried the trial and really liked it, but it ran out. I wont arrr harrr harrr (pirate)

I would if I knew where to get it, my usual russian friends don't have it

I don't need it due to Maya having great UV tools

Once you use rizomuv - and i mean really really use it - mayas uv tools like antiquated

Update, I bought the sub, it's too good, people are right, it's not even a meme. Things keep getting more and more specialized, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a special $50-a-month sub software exclusively for creating desert rocks one day.

It's interesting that if you pay 12 months without stopping, you at least get a perpetual license. I would have already gotten SP and Zbrush perpetual if they had this.

P.S. this is for a professional work, refrain from posting "lul just pirate it dumbass" posts

no one can tell by your finished work that you used rizom, so just pirate it dumbass.

lol, no one can tell that I used any other software either, that's not the point. It's about making the production easier.

What do you want to know? I'm still learning it, but for decimated Nanite meshes it's great to get that last 10%. It has plenty of tools for selecting and straightening islands based on constraints. Also incredibly fast packing and selection. Ok, blender is especially shitty at it, but working with 500k-1M tri meshes is very snappy, unlike in blender. Still, not sure if I would need it for normal meshes with clean topo. Blender, coupled with ZenUV and Packmaster2 worked great for me so far.

can confirm, the torrent on 1337 has malware. noticed a window flash on my desktop for an instant, had numerous powershell instances in task manager. easy to get rid of with malwarebytes though. otherwise the torrent is legit, the crack itself is fine. just a heads up for any anons wanting to torrent it.

How can I isolate the whole object when it is already cut in multiple islands? As soon as I cut some islands of it, it always wants to isolate only that part of the object, but I still want to isolate the full object.

Same difference as with pressing L in face VS edge mode in blender. Face mode selects only that island, and the edge mode selects the entire object.

Apparently 13700k + 4090 still isn't strong enough for huge Nanite assets then, moving a bunch of islands around is a pain.

>> No.943081

you're not supposed to use it like that

>> No.943083

>>943081
What do you know how am I supposed to use it? Tell that to my clients. Every single Nanite project for a big AAA client consisted of working on 1+ million tris decimated mesh. That UV workflow can be pretty painful, but everyone I worked with does it like that for some reason. Rizom helps a lot, but it is still slow.

Rizom is not made for 1 million points, let alone triangles. You're not using it the way an ordinary UV tool is meant to be used. How about cleaning your shitty mesh up, using the low poly mesh to bake your high poly onto then UVing it with a clean, low count topology you pajeetic hermit?
