here is what i learned.
a customer sees a product, he doesn't see art.
in order to convince the costumer that its 'good' for him you need to give the customer something he can interact with.

most people (the vast majority) don't know anything about 3d or how this shit works. but most people vaguely know how a movie works, or how an animation works.
you just give people what they want.

do they want animations of beating hearts and pills? then give it to them.
do they want hentai waifu's fuking eachother? well there you go.

if you can insert you artistic skill into a 'video' or a game people will 'understand' it and will want to buy your shit. a portfolio is something that intimidates clients and employers
