I get it. There are like at least 5 threads right now about "look guys, blender is cool because of this" and they are total cancer. Now that is the question isn't it? The most visible problem seems to be software wars, and as of late between blender and paid software, but /3/ has always had software wars, granted nowhere what we are seeing these days.

I'd argue the problem is deeper though. Right now /3/ seems to be divided into two camps: 1. Beginners just getting into 3D 2. People who claim to be established pros in the industry. Generally spending all their time mocking 1.

I keep seeing this, but I don't understand the reason. Why would people feel threatened from Blender? You mean, because if it became relevant in the industry, professionals would have to learn it?
