Reason I was coming to ask was because the only model that was anywhere decent WAS like that, and I was hoping that you guys’d be a good source of finding one that didn’t do that shit. Then again, I’m on 4chan, so what should I expect to begin with.

I moreso just wanted to play around with a character whose proportions were more centralized in comparison to more generic models and had a more varied sense of physical action in the original work. Plus, I like WiR. Good movie.

I at least appreciate a bit of acknowledgement on here than nothing, though. See how things play out, I suppose.

Well, as much as you dislike it, _those_ kinds of models tend to be really well done. So if you haven't found anything on your usual sites like smutba.se and backdoor tumblr/dA pages, chances are you aren't gonna find it here. /3/'s pretty surface-level as far as "The Chans" go.
But who knows, maybe there's some anon out there who does have a good model that satisfies what you're looking for.

Worst comes to worst, we're still on /3/. Pick up a copy of Blender or whatever, grab one of those fanmade models, learn to modify it till it's up to your standards. While not necessarily the best place for critique (and definitely the most unkind), we're happy to tell you where and what you've done wrong if you feel like posting your progress in the /wip/ general.

I’ll think it over. Got some free time over winter break from school, so I may give it a shot. Otherwise, the model I had seen that pretty much got the point across (before I saw that it was one of those models) cost, like, $88 bucks. Not planning on dropping that kind of money, to be frank. I’ll keep an eye out for now and do more searching until I find one I’m okay with or I feel like modifying to work.

Otherwise, I appreciate the advice.

Small update.

Was able to open the file and access the model, yet whenever I open it it causes a pop-up saying the model has mental ray nodes. It won’t let me access the download page for the nodes (I get a buffering symbol whenever I scroll over the box), and when I close out of the pop-up, it causes the entire program to freeze and I have to ctrl-alt-delete in order to actually close the program window.

Currently using Maya 2018, know that the nodes were discontinued a version or two ago. Anybody know how to make this model not crash the program, effectively?
