Oh and no it's not AO , re3 is 1999 and AO wasn't even invented yet. I see no sign of GI, fake or otherwise in that scene. It's just light attenuation and shadowmaps.
In otherwords it's CGI 101 with your basic scanline renderer.

Nothing specific, dude. If you want a good result you gotta get good at what you're doing. If you really don't have any clue where to start and need some direction with it, I'd look up some videos on modeling furniture and stuff about lighting and texturing.
