Yo /3/, what do you think about Unity's asset store? Anyone on here tried uploading your art there? How much money can you make by uploading 3d art there?
Also, do you buy assets for your games? We've bought about 3-4 things from there so far (like Playmaker and a water system), all pretty cheap, and I'm mostly happy about what we've bought, but it's frustrating not being able to try out some of the assets before buying them. Most devs try to address this problem by providing demos and shit, so it's cool.

The asset store is like any publicly contributed content store, a broad range of content from total shit to pretty damn good (TurboSquid you know what I mean). Unity asset store has a lot of useless and amateur junk, along with some incredibly useful and powerful scripts and engines.

True. I know that the game company inXile Entertainment who are still working Wasteland 2, had put up list of requested models. They simple pick the models that they want and pay them.

Those who don't get picket or get picket can still sells on Asset Store.

But because I'm not famous or have big company, I had to do other way...

It's nice to see when some free stuff is way better than their expensive counterparts.
It's ven nicer to see that some people expect me to pay for an asset which only has a screenshot.
