No one needs to defend or attack blender. Use it if it suits your needs. Ignore it if it doesn't. Grow the fuck up.

On topic, I will probably pay for zbrush once I learn to sculpt worth a shit in blender (which very well may be never) and if zbrush's Wine rating ever stays gold or higher for three or more releases (or they release a native Linux version). I don't do or plan to do 3d art professionally.

I use this logic for everything.
There's no point paying for it if I'm not going to make any money off of it, and it allows me to develop skills (and from the eyes of of the developers, dependencies on those programs).

I have some doubt though that it's actually shitty logic but I don't really care.
