Which seems better the longer coat, or the shorter (jacket)?

And does the Pelt on the shoulders add to the silhouette of the character or take away?

bottom right,m but the pelt placement on the chest makes no fucking sense, fix that

>> No.403357

like the short jacket better, looks less stereotypical. also without pelt looks cooler to.me personally

>> No.403366

Short jacket no pelt.

And like the other guy said the pelt on the chest needs to be changed, at least tapered in alot.

>> No.403367

Hey OP it depends on the characters personality. I think short looks more practical but with that length the pelt is too big. long coat=big pelt

Thanks guys,I'm fixing stuff as of now.

Like this anon implied, every choice you make depends on the type of character you're going for; short jacket looks more classy/urban/morden, long jacket looks more adventurer/retro. There's no best choice in the absolute sense when it comes to looks in a character, it depends on the intention

Fun time has come, when I get to play around and brake down the symmetry.

As I want this to be a game character, I decided to make him more game-like by giving him a weapon. And this is where questions arise.

- Cut one of his sleeves off, adding a claw-like weapon and other accessories.
- Want to make the underpart of the armored arm have a Witchblade vibe;
- Likewise, the top having a demonic face.
- The pelt/fur has been changed to a hood, still not sure how to fully integrate it into the jacket; might just keep it as a separate piece.

Thus, the arm is used for sacrifices, etc. (because the character is a Neo-Voodoo Priest)

- Because it has been suggested that the character as a whole gives off an urban / earthly feel, the armored arm is a little bit far fetched;
- Thus bringing it back in time, and giving the character old/grungy w/o faces or patters.
- Instead of the claws - a sickle ?

- The red pieces are the new accessories added;
- Nothing on the fingers, possibly just gloves
- Two Shredder-like meet hooks
- Experimenting of giving the 'hoodie' shape a bigger silhouette.

Which weapon do you guys think suits better for the character?
Or does it, like with the long/short coat come down to the fact of what you want from the character vs. visual appeal?

The proportions are off a bit, hard to place but I think the legs are a tad too short.

I would stick to normal looking armor piece like the one in first picture, with no additional crap
If you match the design in that picture in detail and execution, then you need no additional circles spikes and shit on it

i like the hook on this one, it looks like something improvised form some scrap metal in a post-apocalyptic earth. you really need to describe what the character and the game world are like and then we can decide. The witchblade idea is much more archaic and lends itself to a fantasy rpg but then this one looks like a survival game in the future.

also i think in general his belt area needs a little finesse, why does he wear that bandana other than because you like the assymmetry? maybe it could be soething he keeps wrapped in a fold of cloth, or a water canteen, or a ammo sling or something. also the area between the belt and the bandana needs more definition, it just looks like a bland blob of sweater and it would look better as an untucked shirt coming out from under the sweater (i'm assuming he's wearing a shirt and sweater due to the collar area, it's a bit hard to tell without materials.)

oh, finally the red bit on the knee looks like an orthopaedic strap thing, like he has an old injury and needs it to walk, thought that might be an interesting angle.

i like his face and hair, it's nice to see characters that aren't just white, short brown-haired adventurers. he looks beleivable but still interesting, you've exaggerated the right features very well.

I see it; w/o the clothes the proportions are correct, with - distortion happens; i'll try fixing that.

>>403682
forward and blunt. very good.

ty :)
I was actually thinking of turning the bandana area into a pouch or something, where he carries his voodoo dolls.

ya, when making the leg strap, i was thinking of that. i'll enhance that idea visually.

ya, sweater / shirt are there just for the placement as of right now.

thank you, many helpful critiques that i can use.
