Ok man you need to know two important facts.
The industry care about those things, because the industry USE your assets and force you yo use standardized softwares.

Then we have ILLUSTRATORS, those people don't work for the industry, and use any kind of softwares they like without nobody giving a shit and basically create cool looking stuff for a client or themselves.
People should learn this in /3/ so this industry nonsense can end.
