It's unfathomable to me, especially since I consider all modelling suites to be lacking features, unintuitive and overly redundant in their design.

Some people fancy themselves "professionals", I guess. they're the sort that would attack me for using Paint.NET instead of Photoshop or whatever. I figure they need to justify their purchases, get acknowledgement or something. There's also a minority of them that actually cannot comprehend that anybody could like a free product more than a paid one.

And then when you realise that a lot of these people use Macs, well it reaffirms that what they're really after is the appearance of status.
