Also, I've used spray chalk instead of starch before. DO NOT do this. The chalk spray has some solvent in it which may cause a thin film of the chalk to permanently attach to your paint. I had to polish the entire car to get rid of the weird shimmer and trust me, you don't want to do that.
Pic related is the prepared rear fender with spray chalk. I've used some bubble wrap for the pattern.

So far I'm done with scanning and aligning the trunk, rear bumper, rear fenders and rear lights. I still need to do the roof, hood, front bumpers, front fenders, doors and side skirts.
