Thank you for the input, it didn't work adjusting the bones but it made me think of something else!

When I import fbx from maya it comes in already screwed up, so when I click on adjust rig to shape it's not doing anything. But after your suggestion I saved the screwed up animation as pose preset, then I applied it to normal genesis 3 in hopes to adjust the bones on that, but instead I get webm. Which is a better situation of course, I just have to adjust the figure's node in the scene, but I'll still need to see if this method is more or less consistent to get predictable results going through all this trouble or if it's easier to go with native daz studio animation tools. Thanks again
