I always had qualms about using curves to model things in Blender because it seems like texture mapping doesn't really work in the viewport. Today I randomly decide to add a triangulation modifier and suddenly I see the textures start working. Goddamnit Blender, what the fuck?

So, uh, just trying to spread information because I had no idea myself and I've been using Blender for years: Texture mapping DOES work on curves in the viewport outside of render mode, but only if you have a modifier in the Generate category active on the curve.
