It's not even the UI that drives me crazy about Zbrush. You can customize it in a basically unlimited manner once you learn the software and figure out a workflow.

It's just absolutely insane how you can accidentally break your project by hitting a wrong button or with an errant keystroke. I've spent more hours troubleshooting the program, trying to figure out if I accidentally invoked some feature that messed things up, or if I just ran into a bug.

I once tried to import an image plane and for some reason, it turned my tools invisible. I tried different fills, materials, nothing. After wasting an hour, I just said fuck it and exported my tools as a ZTL and started over in a new project file. Luckily I was still in the blocking stages of my model so the subtool histories I lost weren't a huge deal.

It's just crazy that this "industry standard" software is just so itchy to ruin your work if you so much as look at it the wrong way.
