Minor update. But I watched this video yesterday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dZUAh4fFfM
And it's kind of unlocked a part of my brain to the idea of vectors. I'm beginning to actually comprehend what Blender is doing. And so I'm amending the previous node set up. This is truly how you accurately offset the starting position of the rayscast rays. The previous node arrangement was off a little.

I also now understand why the dot product node works. The video has been enlightening. And I hope my brain continues to expand large enough to find the solution I'm looking for.
