Can some maya god explain this to me?
I lately started making normal maps via the "transfer map" function, which works pretty fine (right side). But if I import the lowpoly model and then add the exact same normal map to it by myself, it completely fucks up (left). I had a look at the hypershade and discovered that maya somehow exchanges the material for particles and a shading group (?) when doing "transfer map". Does anybody know what´s going on there?
