Just tried it to make a shitosting cinegrid, it does get the job done but it can be very laggy, and moving/scaling the clips feels so hacky, you need "transform layers" on top of the clip, and the units they use make no sense half of the time, specially when you have a workspace that isn't the same aspect ratio as the videos in question. Blender's video editor definitely needs a revamp to make it less retarded, but I guess it works. I could be using premiere but I'd need to either convert and waste space on my drive or demux the MKVs and haven't found a good application that does this well, videos always end up with glitches.
