Isn't Blender 2.8 supposedly as good as Maya? I even heard that it is easier to learn too. Even if Maya is better it is 1,545$/year so it is just a stupid idea to dive into it without any prior animating experience so i will stick with Blender for now. To be fair the best overwatch smut videos were made in Blender, tho i can notice the difference between Maya and Blender videos, something about Maya makes them more realistic i should say? Maybe it is lightning
